On Comments and the Project
Comments
If you try to comment to this blog, you'll notice that I've adopted an authentication service which requires you "sign in" before leaving a comment. I don't need to know who you are (although a name is always appreciated); but, I do need to make sure you're human. The blog has been inundated with thousands of spam comments. As a result, I sometimes failed to notice legitimate comments.
I've cleared the spam comments from previous posts. Unfortunately, I'm sure I deleted a few legitimate comments as well. My apologies if I deleted any of your comments, please feel free to "sign in" and make whatever comments you wish to whatever posts you wish. Even if it's an old post, I'll see that you made a comment and I'll do my best to respond promptly.
Sorry for the inconvenience of requiring you "sign in" before commenting. But, it's a necessary evil.
Note: If for any reason, you can't leave a comment, please use the "email" link on the right hand side of your screen to let me know there's a problem.
Project
I'm still working on the small project I mentioned previously (about what kind of investment returns you can expect in the future). As always happens with these sorts of projects, the scope has expanded a bit and a few obstacles popped up along the way. I've decided it's easier to focus on the Dow, despite the fact it consists of only thirty stocks. Many of the considerations will be the same, regardless of which index is studied.
Expect the first project related post in a couple days. I have a feeling you'll see quite a few posts come out of this project. If you have any suggestions about this topic, please leave a comment or send me an email and I'll see if I can work your suggestion into this project (or incorporate it into some other project at a later date).
